Overview

Redact Kit is a local-first image redaction and metadata cleaning app for macOS and iOS.

Information We Collect

Redact Kit does not collect, store, sell, rent, or share personal data. The app does not require an account, sign-in, subscription, or server connection.

Photos, Images, and Files

When you choose an image or file, Redact Kit processes it locally on your device. Selected files are used only for redaction, metadata cleaning, exporting, sharing, or saving as requested by you.

Redact Kit does not upload your images, files, redactions, or metadata to any server.

Metadata Cleaning

Redact Kit can remove metadata from supported PNG and JPEG files. This processing happens locally on your device.

Photos Access

If you choose to open an image from Photos or save an exported image to Photos, the app may request Photos access only for that action.

Sharing and Exporting

When you export or share a cleaned image, the file is saved or shared only through the destination you choose.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Redact Kit does not use third-party advertising, tracking, analytics, or profiling tools.

Children's Privacy

Redact Kit does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
